While it is entirely too early to know how the health conditions in our area may change over the course of the next few months, West Side will spend time developing plans for different scenarios. California districts will most likely have to prepare for several scenarios for opening schools as policies and health guidelines change rapidly.
The questions listed below should not be taken as any specific indication of our plans (which we do not know yet); they simply provide West Side with a snapshot of data to inform our process. Some of our decisions will be be made for us by health officials and state guidelines. Decisions that can be made by West Side staff and the School Board will be thoughtful and well communicated in advance. Your patience is appreciated.
Our priority is to ensure that our students, families, and staff are safe, and our objective is to provide as much "normal" as possible for our students.
