Visual Arts Program

VISUAL ARTS PROGRAM

The visual art program has been full of discoveries and experiments so far:
-Drawing with our eyes closed to live cello, accordion, and a DJ set with bird song, Tibetan gongs, and 80’s rock music.
-Discovering colors that make our hearts sing.
-Developing cardboard building skills for Caine’s Arcade.
-Drawing gorgeous moths with oil pastel for an animated projection at Harmon Guest House in collaboration with digital and sound artist Hugh Livingston (date TBA).
-Learning about the history of murals with 6th grade for our future mural projects.
-Creating giant circles and patterns with chalk in preparation for the 3rd grade ground mural.
-Learning about biofluorescent animals and the chemistry of florescent colors for our glow-in-the-dark installation this week.
