This past month has been full of creative experiments! We learned about how our eyes perceive color and about biofluorescent animals while painting under black lights. K-3rd grade made giant ellipse drawings using paint and a pendulum hung from the ceiling, and they also made ephemeral sculptures in the garden, inspired by land artist Andy Goldsworthy. 4th, 5th, and 6th grades are busy learning about monoprints and suminagashi (Japanese paper marbling) techniques with Angelica Blancas, our current artist-in-residence. The coming weeks will be full of preparations for our annual winter art sale!
