Garden Update

So much going on in the garden and on campus!

All classes made seasonal swag with fir/pine/redwood/olive branches. The wreath/holiday sale at Felta was a success!

Modeling clay has been a big hit with the lower grades. Some classes made clay imaginary insects and described in detail their habitats and diet.
4th and 5th graders experienced the Riddell Preserve field trip where we hiked and learned about invasive species and helped to remove French Broom.
6th grade participated in a Project Learning Tree career self-assessment to find out where our talents and interests may fit in for outside employment such as Forester, Firefighter etc. They have also planted their native plants behind 6th grade.
Students Wyatt and Caden donated their lonely hen Chick Chick to the flock. The girls are settling in and the students are helping them all become friends.
Our huge acorn year has been great for students to collect for various local horses and pigs. Let us know if you have an animal that loves acorns and students will gather.
And lastly, a leaf or two has dropped on campus. And we're having fun raking!
