Lately in the Garden
The hyacinth bulbs are showing their delicate heads in front of school and the daffodils are hard to miss. The third grade butterfly garden is full of yellow and the mustard from Middleton Farms is making a glorious show outside of the upper grade classrooms. A few flowers are starting to reveal themselves in the garden.
All this means Spring is coming. Kinder and 1st have been planting carrots, the other grades are helping to fill the new beds to plant soon.
Other projects include seed signs from 4 and 5th, dried flower suncatchers with 2nd and learning to prune fruit trees with the other classes.
New rakes arrived just in time for the last leaves to be gathered. Thanks to 5th graders for putting the rakes together.
Big thanks to Tom Stone for fixing the blown-away roof of the greenhouse.
