Visual Art with Ms. Jessica In visual art, we are starting to work on our project for the Young Artists show, which is slated to open on March 14th at Little Saint in Healdsburg. The theme is farming and cuisine. Can’t wait to see what the students come up with! We received vegetable donations from Little Saint Farm, and the K-2 graders had lots of fun drawing with beets and making designs with lettuce leaves. Ask your student if they remember what kohlrabi looks like!
In the Garden! The First Annual 6th Grade Breakfast in the Garden was a success! After contributing to the preparation, cooking and decorating, students enjoyed local eggs, potatoes, Bella's chai tea, Uly's famous horchata, muffins, and donuts etc.
Garden News! Did you know? A coastal redwood can grow up to 29ft wide, which is almost the length of Phoenix Hall. 4th and 5th graders added sketches and facts to their nature journals. Some students uncovered pressed narcissus flowers between their pages from mast week's exploration.
In each Bobchat, we will feature a new grade level to make an announcement. Say hello to 1st Grade!!!
