After Care Staff Spotlight
Just who are these amazing people? West Side is fortunate to have very dedicated After Care Staff who really enjoy spending time with students. They find it very rewarding and chock full of entertainment provided daily by your sweet, creative, energetic, and smart children.
Lacie Ramirez, After Care Coordinator: Lacie has four children of her own, including current Bobcats Deegan and Niko. And she's even a grandmother! She previously worked as an Instructional Aide at Healdsburg Junior High for many years. In her spare time she volunteers for the Healdsburg Wrestling Club and West Side Site Council. No one is more passionate about kids being active and well supported! Serving the West Side school lunches fills up the first part of her day on campus. Disney Land is her favorite place to be after West Side.
Miriam Gomez, After Care Caregiver: Miriam is new to West Side as an Instructional Aide for the upper grades. We're grateful that she's bilingual! She has filled an important role in communicating with our Spanish-speaking families and helping our English Learners. She has two grown children and plays the guitar and mandolin. She even has time to volunteer at church and sing in the choir. Miriam loves to help people!
Stay tuned next week when you will get to know Jackie and Julie!
