The Arts
West Side School has demonstrated a long tradition of integrating the arts throughout the curriculum. We believe that the arts are part of a quality education. Sustained and carefully planned programs in the arts–dance, drama, music, and visual arts– prepare students to succeed in school, work, and life. The arts are effective in teaching students many skills that are needed in order to live and work in society, providing alternative ways to perceive and experience the world. Students can work at an individualized pace to develop self-expression and self-confidence, and to experience a sense of accomplishment.
These enrichment programs are made possible through the generous funding from the Felta Education Foundation.
