Kindergarten Parent Tour and Observation Days January 2025
West Side will be hosting classroom observations for interested 2025-26 Kindergarten parents on January 22 and 23.  Tour time slots are 8:30 to 9:00AM or 9:15 to 9:45AM. TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN (TK)
Transitional Kindergarten is offered through the Windsor Unified School District, please contact them for information.    


ENROLLMENT PROCESS  ~  KINDERGARTEN

Your child must turn five by September 1st, to enroll in Kindergarten.

* In-district, returning and sibling students have priority registration.

In-district students Complete the West Side - New Student - Enrollment Interest Form to be Enrolled.

Out-of-district students Complete the West Side - New Student - Enrollment Interest Form by February 9th, 2025 to be entered into the Kindergarten Lottery.

 

Prior to the Board Meeting out-of-district Kindergarten families, who submitted an "New Student-Enrollment Interest Form" will be sent an email confirmation with a "letter" for the Lottery. (Be sure to add [email protected] to your contact list, or the email may go directly to your trash or spam folder.)

During the February (2025) Board Meeting the out-of-district Kindergarten Lottery will be held. Letters will be drawn at random, to fill the available openings in the 2025-26 Kindergarten class.

After the Board Meeting you will receive an email offering placement or that you are on the waitlist. Those  offered placement will have 2 days to accept. We will continue this process until the class is filled.

 

NEW STUDENT ENROLLMENT   ~  1ST - 6TH GRADE

* In-district, returning and sibling students have priority registration.

Most of our students continue through Sixth grade but occasionally we do have openings.  To be put on the 2025-26 Grade Wait-List, please complete the West Side Enrollment Interest Form. If a spot opens up we will contact you. 

 

CURRENT WEST SIDE STUDENTS - OUT-OF-DISTRICT 1st - 6th Grades

Inter-District Transfer Requests need to be submitted to your district of residence by 3/1/2025.


NEW STUDENTS - OUT-OF-DISTRICT
If you live outside West Side school district boundaries and your student is offered placement for the 2025-26 School Year, you will need to submit an Inter-district Transfer Request through your district of residence. This is not done until placement is confirmed.

2025-26 STUDENT REGISTRATION
Returning Students and new Kindergarten Students must be complete the online Enrollment by May 1, 2025. Online Registration information will be emailed to families.
