Dear West Side Families,
This morning we evaluated the current statistics of COVID cases in the county, as well as the staffing and attendance circumstances at West Side. At the March 8 Board Meeting the Board of Trustees decided that masking would be required for all in the case of an endemic surge and case rate of >50 per 100,000, if required by Sonoma County Department of Public Health, or if school case rate results in potentially unmanageable absences.
With 419 new documented cases in the county today, we're close to 80 per 100,000. West Side will return to mandatory indoor masking starting Tuesday, May 17. Outdoor masking will be strongly recommended. We'll have masks to hand out tomorrow to those who need them. If you have any questions, please let us know.
