Peptoc needs your help! Call for posters and sponsors.

Ms. Jessica and Ms. Asherah are looking for a few young people (ages 3-21) from Mexico, Central, and South America to participate in their call for hand-drawn posters with encouraging messages for their upcoming Peptoc book project! If you have contacts in those areas, we would love if you could send them this link to our (bilingual) invitation: https://www.peptoc.net/poster-project
The project takes about 20 minutes to complete, and posters should be in the participant’s home language. Deadline to submit photos of the posters is April 27th. Thank you for your help! We have received posters from all over the world, but nothing has come in from Latin America yet!

Speaking of Peptoc, we are also still looking for a sponsor for the hotline! We have gone viral three times, and since hotline providers charge by the minute, days when we get millions of calls can cost $20,000! Please spread the word to anyone who is looking to support a very worthy cause. Ms. Jessica hopes to keep the hotline going for as long as possible. What an amazing Fiesta! Thank you so much to everyone who volunteered, donated items, bought raffle tickets and/or came to the event! It was a successful night for sure! We still have more to go for our enrichment programs next year. Please support our school and Bollywood next week by participating in our Dine and Donate! The flyer to present them will be coming home in today’s Wednesday mail. If you haven’t been, it’s delicious! Thank you and hope to see you there!

Fourth grade is learning about fractions in math. We are turning improper fractions into mixed numbers and we are learning how to find common denominators. During Women's History Month, we studied Ruby Bridges, Anne Frank, Mala Yousafzai, Amelia Earhart, Frida Kahlo, Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman, and Georgia O'Keeffe. We are now studying the California Gold Rush. We
recently took a field trip to Fort Ross' Marine Ecology program with the 5th grade class.

🍀A little leprechaun fun🍀

5th graders are studying Earth's biomes and how consumers, producers, and decomposers interact in a variety of ecosystems. We are doing lots of adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing with fractions. We just finished a round of book groups and are starting a new novel study of the book Sign of the Beaver. We are also learning about the 13 colonies and memorizing our states and capitals.
